Midfield Duo Out For Eagles

West Coast have been dealt a double blow ahead of tomorrow night’s match against Essendon, with Chad Fletcher and Michael Braun both remaining in Perth due to injury.
The news follows the withdrawals of forwards Ben McKinley and Ashley Hansen, adding further pressure to an already dwindling midfield and forward stocks ahead of the Telstra Dome clash.
Speaking at the Eagles training session today at Junction Oval, Eagles assistant coach Peter Sumich confirmed Fletcher has a back problem, while Braun has a sore knee.
“Chad Fletcher’s form has been great and Michael Braun’s has picked up over the last couple of weeks,” Sumich said. “Body wise if they were 100 percent to go, they would be here but their bodies are just a little bit off.”
Sumich says the pair should be fit to face Geelong at Subiaco Oval on Saturday week.
