What do you guys feel on the medium term on field success of the NMFC?
While Brayshaw, Laidley and co have been amazing to date, surely the current crop of players is nowhere near premiership quality. Compounded by the fact that North have never bottomed out like Hawthorn and Carlton and with the GC team coming in, surely North are as far away from a premiership as anyone.

It would be sad to see Melbourne go under being the oldest club in Victoria but the reality is there are to many clubs in Melbourne are we going to have all this drama every year or are victorians finally going to come to there senses and realise there are to many clubs in MELBOURNE . Not that long ago it was Hawthorn & Footsray now it’s Melbourne next year Richmond guys it’s not vfl anymore and clubs are businesses and many businesses go broke everyday you can’t run a business and not make a profit.
Clubs/Businesses wont relocate where it’s neccesary to make a profit so they go broke we don’t have to like it but it’s reality.
Will in a couple of years if they don’t have success we will be discussing Hawthorn & Western Bulldogs in the same way we are discussing Melbourne and Richmond now. You be the judge I bet we are and again it will be sad to see one of them go but lets get real unless one of them comes to there senses and goes to gold coast or sydney. They should look at the swans and lions and see just what success looks like and maybe they might think relocating isn’t that bad an idea.
To there supporters if you truly support your club and your team then you wouldn’t care where they were and if you dump them because they need to relocate then your not much of a supporter.

Boys, can anyone salvage melbourne? $4.5 million in debt, seems insurmountable? Is there a better man for the job than Jim Stynes?

Have you guys overestimated Port Adelaide’s list? Every week I hear you two say they are good and every week they turn out a porr performance? Why?

Until this week I didn’t really think the bulldogs could challenge for the flag, but now it seems they can definately win. Are they travelling the best of anyone right now?

As a West Coast fan we look done for the year.
So my question is about something else.
How good was Tiger Woods’ clinch but this morning in the US Open? Why can Tiger only win majors when he is leading going into the final round?

I noticed last week you used the term ‘young kids’. Why do footy people say this? Are there any other type?

My other question this week is, Hutchy have you caught the Bulldogs yet? Surely they are as good as anyone right now, but is it still to far out to call a winner?

Hutchy. I praised your effort on FC a couple of weeks ago but tonight I can’t believe you let Peter Jackson get away with such a huge stats stuff up! He said the Bombers where 20 odd games less experienced then the Hawks when they played. Actually they were 13 odd game MORE experienced then the Hawks on the night they played. Does this suprise you?

    Molly
PS. Chris, here is the link to prove this fact: http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_match_statistics?mid=3563#hd. your doing a great job and I know if you were on the Panel you would have been all over it, so if you wouldn’t mind printing out the site, because I bet you Hutchy disputes it, and want you to have the evidence!

PS. PS. I love your banter!

  11. Greeneyes says

    Hay Chris
Rapport is a French word meaning relationship.
Banter is to exchange mild friendly teasing remarks

So to have a good rapport with Hutchy, is to understand your working relationship and bounce of each others personalities, running with his jokes (good or bad) so the conversation rolls with good humour.

Sometimes you get all embarrassed look to the ground and pause, which shuts down Hutchy’s bantering.

I’m glad you appreciate good feedback

  12. Mick Whittle says

How about this argument this week about the Brownlow, should the fairest bit be dropped?
Do you have an issue with players like Goodes, Franklin and Mitchell missing out this year?
Also the issue of list cloggers you always raise. Who should Richmond cut from their list and who should they bring in?

  13. Phillip Molly Malone says

A lot of talk about stopping tanking, but no one ever gives a hard definition of what they consider to be tanking. Which camp are you guys in? Do you think list management (Early surgeries, Dumping the oldies and playing kids) is tanking or just when teams lose on purpose? Once you have that defined, you can discuss why nothing will stop it and why the system we have now is the best because you get a reasonably even comp.
