MORE SURGERY FOR EGAN
BY ANDREW LOWTHER
INJURED Geelong defender Matthew Egan has flown to Sydney to undergo reconstructive surgery on a foot injury that has plagued him since last year’s finals series.
As reported by FootyHeads’ own Craig Hutchison on The Footy Show last night, Egan will spend a week in Sin City and be operated on by renowned surgeon Kim Slater.
“He’s one of the best in the world and I’ll put my faith in him,” Egan said.
An All-Australian selection last year, Egan has been ruled out of the 2008 season with an injury similar to that which hampered James Hird throughout his career.
