ESSENDON and Adelaide will tonight take part in the ‘Call to Arms’ campaign to help fight cancer among men.

Started in Victoria in 2007, the campaign has gone national this year.

“You might think it won’t happen to you, but I know exactly what it is like to hear the words ‘you have cancer’,” Bombers player and cancer survivor Adam Ramanauskas said yesterday.

“We have all been touched by cancer in one way or another and Call to Arms is a fantastic way to raise funds and awareness.”

Throughout June and July players, administrators and supporters from all sporting codes across Australia are invited to don a yellow armband and make a donation to the campaign.

The centre circle and 50m lines will be painted yellow tonight, while the field umpires will wear yellow and goal umpires will use yellow flags.

Go to www.calltoarms.com.au to make your donation.

Have your say, FootyHeads!
