BOMBERS URGED TO ATTACK

ESSENDON coach Matthew Knights has urged his team to attack at all costs when they face Adelaide at AAMI Stadium tonight.

Knights has rushed back forward Scott Lucas in a bid to encourage his team to ‘dare’ up forward, according to the Herald Sun.

“We want a little bit more dare and a little bit more energy early, both when we have the ball and when they have got it,” Knights said.

“We want a little bit more energy, because the last two weeks we have been four goals down at quarter-time, so you don’t give yourself an opportunity.

“If you are that far down at quarter-time, it’s a long way back.”

Knights’ game plan has been criticised for a lack of defensive pressure in previous weeks.

Lucas has not played since injuring his knee in round one, but is expected to start in the forward line tonight.

The Bombers have lost Jobe Watson and Darcy Daniher to injury, but have regained Bachar Houli along with Lucas.

The Crows have named an unchanged line-up despite their shock loss to West Coast last week.
