WOOSHA NOT FAZED BY NEW SURROUNDS
BY STEPHEN BAKER
WEST Coast Eagles coach, John Worsfold, says he isn’t concerned with the fact that his side will attempt to break a five game losing streak on a ground they haven’t played a home and away game on in sixteen years.
The Eagles last traveled to the Gold Coast in 1992 to play the former Brisbane Bears.
The 2006 Premiership coach said that he expected his side to be at their best despite the unfamiliar surroundings.
“It really makes no difference to the way the ball bounces, or the way that you attack the contest,” he said.
“We play our pre-season games in Alice Springs and all around the place and there’s no reason you expect your players to perform any differently.”
A paltry crowd of less than 10,000 people are expected to attend the game.

MEMO AFL - if you want to set up a team on the Gold Coast, it’s probably NOT a good idea to screw the people you’re trying to woo by asking them to come out and watch the team that told their community to get stuffed.
