HARVEY CALLS FOR PROTECTION OF CARR
BY ALANA LAKELAND
FREMANTLE coach Mark Harvey says Josh Carr is being unfairly targeted by the AFL and is in need of protection from the umpires.
“I think the star players get a lot of treatment but I think just as much the taggers or the guys that have big jobs cop as much treatment,” Harvey said today.
Carr has been suspended for the fourth time in three seasons after accepting a three-week ban for pleading guilty to kneeing Gary Ablett Jr last Friday night.
Harvey has criticised the AFL for singling out the notorious antagonist on a regular basis.
“Josh regularly gets called up every Monday. Gets scrutinised heavily, more heavily than any other player in the competition I reckon,” Harvey said.
Harvey has suggested he may raise the issue with the AFL when the Dockers travel to Melbourne for their clash with Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.

It appears that Harvey has learned a thing or two from Sheeds over the years - nice attempt at plying mind games.
