WALLACE WARNING

RICHMOND coach Terry Wallace has put his players on notice after their loss to North Melbourne on Sunday night.

Speaking after the game, Wallace said mediocre and inconsistent performances from his players this season would not be accepted.

“Blokes who don’t respect their position in the side and therefore don’t respect the guernsey won’t play,” Wallace said.

“I think our supporters shouldn’t walk away thinking that they’re going to get the same old same old. We’ll throw it around and give some young blokes the opportunity until we get the right blokes in there who want to compete.”

“If you disrespect the opportunity to play senior football well you don’t deserve to play.”

“There were lot out of today but we’ve got to weigh up where they’ve been over a month.”

The Tigers will welcome back skipper Kane Johnson next week from his self-imposed ban for an off-field indiscretion but could be without defender Andrew Raines, who dislocated a knee cap.
