REACTION TO CAREY INTERVIEW

Wayne Carey has tonight revealed in an interview on Enough Rope on ABC TV that he came from an abusive up bringing amongst other issues.
The tell all interview has received a shaken reaction from his former colleagues and team-mates this evening on Footy Classified with Glenn Archer, Caroline Wilson and Gary Lyon all looking shaken when discussing the events revealed in the interview.
The Age’s chief football writer Caroline Wilson described the interview as ‘one of the saddest’ she had seen, while former opponent and colleague Gary Lyon described it as ‘hard to watch’ as it did not seem like the man that he had worked with last year.
Former team-mate Glenn Archer also found the interview hard to watch and found the drug taking element as the most amazing aspect, “That is the biggest shock since he left North Melbourne that he went down the drug path, because he was not into drugs at all in his time at North.”
“It is positive to see him showing some remorse Archer said.
Footyheads what is your reaction to the Wayne Carey interview aired on ABC 1 tonight?
I thought Andrew Denton and the ABC should be given a lot of credit for such a great interview! Its hard to know if parts of what Carey said was not 100% true but you have to give him credit he didn’t walk away from anything. I hope he gets the help he needs!

Not impressed. He was defensive, evasive, blaming everyone else, not prepared to take responsibilty.
Remember - he was the LEADER of all things at North, not a victim.
No integrity there!
I tuned in expecting to see him own up like a man at last, but was sadly disappointed!
