BRODIE HOLLAND has hinted that Collingwood may have already chosen their club captain for season 2008.

Holland told SEN that Josh Fraser and Nick Maxwell sat either side of coach Mick Malthouse during the official team photo.

Traditionally it is the Captain and Vice captain who sit on either side of the coach during the team photo, hinting that Fraser and Maxwell may be the front runners for the job.

Collingwood’s football operations manager Geoff Walsh confirmed that the new captain would be announced soon.

“It could be as early as next week but maybe after the last practice match,” Walsh said.
