BUDDY EYES MIDFIELD

HAWTHORN young gun Lance “Buddy” Franklin says he would like to spend some time in the midfield this season.
Speaking on SEN, Franklin, who kicked 73 goals last season said he had been training with the Hawthorn midfielder group during pre-season.
“I have been working with midfielders this preseason,” Franklin said.
“I hope I get a bit of a run up on the wing, i wouldn’t mind pushing up the ground, if I’m not getting a kick in the forward line, so we’ll see what happens.”

At the start of last year, he and Willo rotated in that roll of Forward that heads down field. I think Buddy cemented himself more in the forward line but I would see him moving down field when he gets those immobile backmen on him!
