Geelong’s Darren Milburn could be excused for hanging up the boots after achieving all the game had to offer in 2007.

But the 30 year old veteran who achieved All Australian honours and Premiership glory last year believes he might just be entering the prime of his career.

Milburn who turns 31 in April, will be the oldest player on Geelong’s list in 2008.

But the man they call “Dasher” has underlined his importance to the Geelong side with consistent performances week in week out, most notably during finals.

Milburn has not missed a match since round 1, 2005. And has only missed five matches in the last five seasons, a true testament to his toughness.

“I’m one of these players who likes to get out there and do it”, Milburn told gfc.com.au this week.
